As the name suggests, the Allée des Fiancés is a path lined with lime trees planted by newly-weds in the 18th and 19th century. The path runs from the top of Waldersbach to Col de la Perheux. The tradition was founded by the famous Ban de la Roche pastor, Jean-Frédéric Oberlin, who encouraged newly-weds to plant a tree to symbolise their love. The Allée has been listed on the national site directory since 1938 in memory of the pastor's love for this site. View map
